A selection of nude drawings that I’ve done from life. The quality of many pictures is a little blurry at times, I apologize. I’m due to take new slides of them all. Looking back, I wish that I had worked a little harder in this class, but I do like the way many of these turned out.
They say that drawing isn’t about your hands, rather your eyes. People draw how they see, not how their hand dictates. The style in which a person draws is always unique, like handwriting. I’ve always wished that I could draw with someone else’s hand/eye just once. I think that would be a truly amazing experience.
On a related note, I’m sorry that there aren’t more boobies and dicks. It’s funny how when you’re drawing a nude model, you totally forget that they’re a naked person in front of you. I was about four weeks into drawing the same male model before I even realized what his dick looked like, even though I had drawn it hundreds of times. Especially since I love naked people. I love comparing genitals. I really dropped the ball on this opportunity. No pun intended.
