Another oldie but goodie from 2007. With this painting, I was experimenting with the layering of shapes, colors, and texture. It was probably the most fun I ever had with a painting. Originally it was a photo of a sink. I wanted to find the exact reason that the photo was attractive to me, and I chose the angle of the open cabinet door. I took that angle and elaborated on it until I was satisfied with the composition. I love what happens as a result of microfocusing.
Though now, to me, the colors seem slightly out of date, at the time, I thought they were totally tits.

Out of date?…but I love that light blue at the top.
